I like the specs and price of this diamond, but isn't that ASET a bit off?

Any thoughts?

I'm not an expert, but it looks like a very good Princess ASET to my eyes.

It looks like a great ASET to me as well, lots of red through the center and corners, & green around the edges is typical of the princess ASETs I've seen.  Perhaps you don't like the pattern?  I'm no expert in princesses but there's definitely a few patterns out there . . .

I see a vibrant stone, full of reds and greens with minimal black and not a lot of blue, which I would like to see a little more of, but basically a great looking ASET picture.  What is it that you do not like about the ASET?

Hi Mark,

An ACA has to meet certain guideline ( I think there are 16 of them) in order to be an ACA stone, so basically it should be a great stone.  Now, how does it compare with another ACA, I cant tell you, you will have to see them in person.

But, what I can tell you is, that when I visited WhiteFlash and seen the ACA stones, they are the best diamonds (rounds, princess and pears)  that I have ever seen.

Good Luck

Thanks all.

Wink, I suppose I would prefer to see more of a diamond with lots of red, and then a small amount of green in the middle, sides and corners.

Although,I really have no basis...

This seems like a great diamond otherwise...

Did you see John's explaination of aset images yesterday? If not, here is the link.

Hi Mark,

Maybe this will help.

"It is also important for the State to inculcate in its subjects an aversion to any 'conspiracy theory of history' for a search for 'conspiracies' means a search for motives and an attribution of responsibility for historical misdeeds."

-Murray N. Rothbard, in The Anatomy of the State

John Swinton [1829-1901] Chief Editorial Writer of the New York Times (Considered "the Dean of his Profession" by his peers), when asked to toast an 'Independent Press' in a gathering at the National Press Club, circa 1880

"There is no such thing in America as an independent press unless it is in the country towns. You know it, and I know it. There is not one of you who dare express an honest opinion. If you express it you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid... for keeping my honest opinions out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for doing similar things....

The business of the New York journalist is to distort the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of Mammon, and sell his country and race for his daily bread, or for what is about the same thing, his salary. You know this, and I know it and what foolery to be toasting an 'independent press.' We are tools, and the vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are jumping-jacks. They pull the strings and we dance. Our time, our talents, our lives, our possibilities, all are the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes."

such a diamond would have little too no contrast and be rather boring.
The greens, black, and what little blue there is in princess cuts provide contrast needed for contrast brilliance.
A stone with proper contrast brilliance will appear brighter than a brighter one with no contrast.

The ASET looks pretty typical of the new breed princess cuts.
