WAHOOOO!!! So excited. Here's the scoop. Boyfriend (at the time  ) and I went to San Diego for our 4 year anniversary. He had all but told me the proposal would be happening in the fall but I was hoping it would come as early as July 4! I got the surprise of my life when it came this past FRIDAY!!!We had been taking SD by storm, shopping and eating at Seaport Village, taking a ferry to Coronado Island, etc. I was starting to wind down at dinner because we had gotten up SO early. Just before dinner I had taken a photo of a horse drawn carriage all decorated just like Cinderella's. I got up to go to the washroom during dinner and when I got back my bf was FRANTICALLY shoveling food in his mouth. I asked him if he was okay and he said he though maybe we should take a carriage ride. So I finished my food (not nearly as quickly as he finished his) and we ran outside to catch a carriage. The carriage was supposed to take us to this GIANT statue of the famous Times Square Kiss when the sailor kissed the nurse (background: I am OBSESSED with that photo and absolutely freaked out when I first saw the statue) but our driver was a complete weirdo and dropped us off in a random parking lot. By this time I was cold and was trying to convince him to go home. He refused and walked me around the statue like 10 times lol. Finally just as I was about to snap I turned around and he was on one knee. I thought he was tying his shoe so I just stood there, then I saw him take a box out of his pocket and I, once again, freaked out. I was so surprised I just kept yelling "WHAT ARE YOU DOING? SERIOUSLY! OH MY GOD" it was dark so I couldn't even see the ring that well, he insisted that we walk over to the light (we were the only people BEHIND the statue) and WOW I am in love. Perfect ring. LOVE IT. Spent the rest of the trip laying on the beach looking at my new bling and thanking my fiance for my wonderful surprise.
