The stones are facing up the same size, the second is a tad deeper than I would like, but both have very nice numbers.  Do you have IS images, pictures, other information?  Also, one thing to keep in mind is GOG's superior service and trade-up policies compared to Blue nile's.  GOG lets you trade up for 100% at any time, while BN gives you nothing on this I believe.

Oops, I got the sizes wrong on both of them by accident!  The price for these diamonds are both roughly $13.5K -- is that a good price?

1. Blue Nile - 1.61ct, H, VS2, Signature Ideal
2. GOG - 1.58ct, H, VS2, ASG0 H&A

The IS image on the GOG stone is gorgeous!!!  The images for the BN stone are also really nice.  The price is very fair for both, but I *think* GOG might give a pricescope discount with a bankwire (you'll need to ask for this to get it).  Also, keep in mind what you are getting when you buy from GOG versus BN.  Even if you don't anticipate upgrading in the future, it's nice to have the option later on and with GOG you'll have this while you won't with BN.

I agree with k. Both stones are nice.

The difference would be the ability to upgrade with GOG. Also, with a bankwire, the GOG stone would be 13,130.75.

They both look great. You'd be okay with either but as others have already said, with GOG you would get an upgrade option as well as a small price drop with the PS discount. Finally, if you are still having a tough time choosing, does one have a setting that you like better? Personally, I would go with the GOG one for the sake of the PS discount.

That is true.  I do like the policy on the GOG much better and I have read a lot of good things about GOG on this forum.  I emailed tim@ yesterday but I haven't heard back from anyone yet.  It is exactly what I am looking for except for the fact that it is 1.58ct vs 1.60ct.  I think that I would rather be on the high side of 1.6ct since that is what I said I would get rather than going lower.

Actually, I haven't talked to my gf about settings.  She liked the Tiffany setting but I don't know if she has really looked.  Does anyone have any recommendations?

The difference in diameter is totally negligable. You could not see it if you had them side by side.

Settings are very personal and so you should ideally have her pick her own setting or atleast pick it together.
And I second Ellen's comment that you won't be able to tell the 2 apart in size. The only reason to pick the 1.6 over the 1.58 is so you can know it is a 1.6 . . . practically speaking there is no difference.

Haha --- I can't tell the difference from 1.5-1.6.

I was just thinking to ehr on the side of caution b/c that is the size we agreed upon.

Obviously I don't know her so I cannot say for sure but I think given the "bonuses" you'd both be getting upgrade policy, more money to spend on the setting and no visual difference I'd think it would be okay
