Are settings re-useable? Thanks.

Totally depends on the type of setting and whether you are planning on setting a very similar stone or one of a different size. You'd need to tell us or a jeweler exactly what you were thinking w/pics and someone might be able to help you!

I have purchased antique settings to set my loose gemstones and also 2nd hand settings for my OEC. It is important that the stone is the correct shape and mm size for the setting. Also, take note of the condition of the setting: any cracks or overly worn out prongs, etc. It is best to let a jeweller take a look and give his opinion whether it is doable for what you intend to set in it.
