Here are some pics of my Asscher engagement ring and band - I can't figure out how to post more than one pic at a time, so I'm posting them on separate entries ...

OMG.

Sometimes we have these "what would you buy if you could have any engagement ring you wanted and had unlimited funds?" threads here at PS, and now I can finally put a picture to what I've always said I'd choose: yours.

Amazing. Specs! Specs!

I LOVE asschers!!

They are so calming and soothing. Like looking into a beautiful pool of water. The steps just drag you down into the stone.

Beautiful setting and w-band!!

Thanks so much!  I had been drooling over asschers for years before I got this one.  When we got engaged, my husband took me to pick out the ring.  He is more traditional and wanted me to get a round brilliant, but since I'll be the one wearing it, he said the asscher is fine as long as it makes me happy.  The engagement ring is set in a platinum Verragio cathedral setting, but the wedding band is from Blue Nile (.5 ct tw in platinum) because so few designers are doing modern-style asscher bands.  I also love the asschers with sidestones, so I'm thinking about turning it into a 3-stone a few years from now (anniversary present maybe?)

Here are the diamond specs:

GIA - Square Emerald Cut
7.20 x 7.10 x 4.94 mm
Carat Weight: 2.20 carat
Color: H
Clarity: VVS2
Total depth: 69.6%
Table size: 65%
Girdle: MEdium
Culet: None
Polish: Very Good
Symmetry: Good
Flourescence: None

It is so pretty! It would look great with trap sides, or bullets, but looks great as is too!

Congrats...

I really, really, really love it!  The set provides that classic yet, unique look.  I am with EBree's sentiments, if I had an unlimited budget I'd definitely consider yours at the top of my list.

Thanks so much to everyone for the compliments and feedback!  My finger is a size 5, so I think the stone looks big on my hand.

Just had to come back and look again!!

I especially like pic #4. It really highlights the steps and the clarity of the asscher!

Yum!!

That is a really beautiful ring!  It definitely looks huge on your finger!  I also love the band...the WB and e-ring setting both make your asscher really POP!  Congrats!
