When we got engaged, my husband took me to pick out the ring. He is more traditional and wanted me to get a round brilliant, but since I'll be the one wearing it, he said the asscher is fine as long as it makes me happy. The engagement ring is set in a platinum Verragio cathedral setting, but the wedding band is from Blue Nile (.5 ct tw in platinum) because so few designers are doing modern-style asscher bands. I also love the asschers with sidestones, so I'm thinking about turning it into a 3-stone a few years from now (anniversary present maybe?) Here are the diamond specs: GIA - Square Emerald Cut 7.20 x 7.10 x 4.94 mm Carat Weight: 2.20 carat Color: H Clarity: VVS2 Total depth: 69.6% Table size: 65% Girdle: MEdium Culet: None Polish: Very Good Symmetry: Good Flourescence: None
