....Crew that is. My bf purchased a 1.29 H/VS2 stone from GOG last May and since its still in a temp setting, I have decided to upgrade it before it gets into a e-ring setting. I have seen so many beautiful "J" diamonds on here and figure if I can get one that looks that good at a bigger carat weight and not cost much then why not.  So, I wanted to know if the stone I put on hold at GOG is a good choice. It's a 1.568 J/SI1. I'd welcome any feedback. I plan on upgrading later down the road and I figure this would be a size I could live with for a little bit till the big ol shrinkage factor comes into play...which I think it kind of did which is why I'm upgrading a stone that isn't even set yet! Boy am I a head case Also the stone has a medium blue flourescence and I have read somewhere that this may make a "J" look brighter or any stone that is considered a lower color and make it appear not as warm. Is there any truth to this? Anywho here we go...

that rock looks awesome.  I have read here that flour. will help a lower color stone face up whiter.  This baby will be all sparkle anyway.

Great choice and even better with the fluorescence IMO!

Nothing is more sacred as the bond between horse and rider...no other creature can ever become so emotionally close to a human as a horse. When a horse dies, the memory lives on because an enormous part of his owner's heart, soul, very existence dies also...but that can never be laid to rest, it is not meant to be...

Congrats Fashionsweetie!!

I just joined the J club myself and I am SOO glad I did! I got a great size for a great price! My stone has Strong blue and (JMHO) I think it definately helps.  I don't really see any of the side view warmth at all. It faces up VERY white!

Alot of people who have seen it comment at how "colorless" it is! If they only knew!

Enjoy your new J! Can't wait to see pics!

You picked out a stunner there, congrats!!

John Swinton [1829-1901] Chief Editorial Writer of the New York Times (Considered "the Dean of his Profession" by his peers), when asked to toast an 'Independent Press' in a gathering at the National Press Club, circa 1880

"There is no such thing in America as an independent press unless it is in the country towns. You know it, and I know it. There is not one of you who dare express an honest opinion. If you express it you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid... for keeping my honest opinions out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for doing similar things....

The business of the New York journalist is to distort the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of Mammon, and sell his country and race for his daily bread, or for what is about the same thing, his salary. You know this, and I know it and what foolery to be toasting an 'independent press.' We are tools, and the vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are jumping-jacks. They pull the strings and we dance. Our time, our talents, our lives, our possibilities, all are the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes."
