Hi everyone... I noticed this photo on a post, and I think my sister is going to get this setting with a trillian head. I wasn't able to attach the photos for some reason...hrm.. Please give me your opinions if you think it will look nice. A separate idea I am thinking about is to channel set diamonds around the stone in the same setting. Hi Moosejaw! I love the one you posted. I love the color of the stone and I think it will look very nice with the setting you pointed out.

Thanks...its so tough deciding without seeing it...simply because the stone is 3 carats. Do you guys have any particular feelings with channel set diamonds surrounding the stone? I think it could look great, but just not sure. It's ultimately up to my sister, but you guys have great eyes and imaginations. :)

I really like the ring simple, as is...but that's just me. That spess is absolutely gorgeous. I got to see Movie Zombie's spessertite in real life, and was utterly amazed at how brilliant it was. It's like it generated its own light.  I don't think stones like that need any help with accent stones. They can knock your socks off all by themselves!  widget

i love it, i think it has a great clean modern look as is and think more diamonds would take away from its elegance.

I think the spess is gorgeous and it will look lovely in the setting. I think a diamond halo would be a gorgeous touch.

Love it!!! I would make the head in yellow gold to highlight the color of the spess better and the shank in platinum. (Just a thought, if you don't like it that's cool). Leon's work is amazing and I'm impressed that he can do modern really well as well as antique pave. This ring will definitely be a head turner, the stone is amazing as well, a great pick!

It's funny how guys think more is better sometimes in regards to the channel set diamonds. I think you guys are right, and it should remain simple. The idea of the head of the setting being gold is interesting. Do you think 14, 18, 24, rose gold? -G
