It's the tiffany legacy w/graduated side stones, but different...

1. prong set instead of bezel so the stone sits a bit higher than the halo
2. round instead of cushion
3. 3 blue sapphires on each side as pictured... (beware my incredible paintbrush skills!)

and do you think a .80ct stone would look too small in that setting?

I agree. A halo really does make the diamond look much biggerl. I think your stone would look great!

Love it as pictured ... WOULD NOT want the center stone raised above into prongs. Just personal preference .. but feel that way AS strongly if not MORE strongly than you feel it should be raised ... which means: people feel STRONGLY about it ... what do you think your fiance would like more: smooth/sleek/streamlined/more like Tiffany original --OR-- raised.

ps-- it's about wearability for me more than apprearance. There are a lot of lovely PSers with lovely prong-set halos. I love LOOKING at most pretty halos ... but I know I'd prefer WEARING a bezel-set one.

Nice! Normally I like bezel set rounds, but after picturing your description, I can't imagine it any other way.

i think the bezel set looks like the diamond is buried where as a prong set with a halo gives it a more displayed and "flowery" look.
