I am trying to decide on an e ring and I wanted opinions.  I have narrowed it down to a 2+ carat emerald cut and I know I want an emerald cut eternity band.  How do you all think that would look if the setting was a halo setting with the emerald solitaire outlined by pave diamonds?  Anyone have pictures.  The other alternative is just an emerald cut with trapezoid side stones and the eternity band.  Any help would be great.

I have an emerald cut with tapered bags and an emerald cut eternity band. I do not wear them together. I had considered a paved halo and also traps, but went with tapered baguettes figuring I can always change it later. I think all three looks are gorgeous and it depends on how you see the ring, because to me, tapered bags are more classic and expected, a halo is very now yet also very vintage and traps are a modern take on a classic...

Ec's have always been my favorite. A great classic look with traps, bullets or bags.
My favorite is elongated traps with a 3 sided diamond shank.

DF's ring is a dream.

Here is momothree's beautiful EC halo thread: linky

oh, that's gorgeous. I sooo want a halo on my EC one day. But I want sapphire baguettes, wish I could photo-shop properly so I could see how my diamond looks surrounded by tiny sapphires. I've seen the round ones at Fay Cullen, but never a sapphire halo for an EC that wasn't little rounds....

29 days til the wedding, and I'm already tired of my ring. Not tired of but....sort of wish I could dress it up in a halo, like putting on hair extensions, to change the look a bit. Some day, some day, going to put this diamond in something a little blingier! Got to get through this wedding first, so I'll be a wife and won't get dumped when I start looking at new ring ideas.

Wow its beautiful..How do you think it would look with an EC eternity band?  I am debating if it would look good with all of the pave diamonds.
