1.45 E VS1 EightStar In a platinum Sakamoto setting. The setting used to have a .994 G VS EightStar , but I decided to upgrade when I had matching wedding bands made. More pics to follow. |

Each band is 2.5mm wide and has 16 full cut diamonds totaling .30ct The bands match the square share of the e-ring. |

On the wedding bands there are 10 diamonds across the top and three on each side. It was a nice touch that Eddie Sakamoto came up with it gives the look of a eternity band but without the added cost. I big thanks to Jonatahn at Good Old Gold who really made it possible. My jeweler had quoted me a 1.17 G VS1 EightStar (which I even put money down on) and Jonathan quoted me the 1.45 E VS1 at $1500 less. Too good to pass up even though I had to sell my old EightStar on my own. I am thrilled with the new ring. |

That is The Star of Sierra Leone. I wonder who is the lucky lady, holding the rough. Found these specs: "968.80 carats Shown in the rough above, this diamond is the third largest ever found, and weighed almost half a pound in the rough. The rough was eventually cut into seventeen exquisite invididual diamonds, six of which are now set in the Star of Sierra Leone Brooch." Who would invite Ryan Thompson on this site? He is so passionate about big diamonds and I've always liked his writings. Ryan, yoooohooo! Come here!
