The ceremony was held in the chapel here http://www.italian-weddings.com/destination_wedding_locations/lazio/rome/finest_medieval_castle_in_italy.html I promised I wouldn't post the ceremony pics because our guests requested anonymity. I was nervous using a wedding planning agency that I picked from the net but they were wonderful. All I had to do was tell them what I wanted and the arrangements were perfectly done. All we had to do was show up. Hair and make up was done by Mauro Lulli whose shop is in the Hotel Hassler http://www.hotelhasslerroma.com/uk-hotel-facilities.htm (scroll to bottom of page). Two funnies from the event: I forgot to let down half the bustle on my dress and hubby wore his Nike's with his Yves St Laurent tux. Whaddaya gonna do -- he didn't confess to leaving his dress shoes at home until the day of the wedding. Turns out he was the smart one because I was in agony from wearing those darn high heels. HOT though, and crowded but I loved seeing all the sites. What a great spot for your wedding. I stopped in a bridal shop on a whim on the way home from work one day, started to hyperventilate as soon as I entered the shop because I found myself in a forest of dresses and I didn't know where to begin and the wedding was 3 weeks away. The owner heard my heavy breathing and came over to inspect the source, pulled a dress of a rack and stuffed me into a changing room and viola, I had a dress. As I was running for the exit (could not wait to get out of there...there was barely 2 inches of space to walk thru all the dresses), I thought "jewelry...I need jewelry", turned back into the shop, started hyperventilating again, pointed to my ears, she put a box into my hand took my credit card again, and viola, I had jewelry. Then, as I was pulling out of the parking lot, I remembered I needed shoes.... We had only 15 in attendance. When we started planning 2 years ago, we had an estimated guest list of 200 but folks kept dropping out. The place we married doesn't like to do small parties, so we were worried that they might cancel on us. ~~~~~~~~~~ There is only one way to achieve happiness on this terrestrial ball, and that is to have a clear conscience or none at all.
