Hi, I have been reading through the messages on these boards and this website has been extremely helpful to me. I would like to get some educated opinions on this diamond I am thinking seriously about purchasing, loose. Please state any general comments and/or an estimate of what you think it is worth paying for (in $$). Here it is: Shape = Round Measurements = 6.72-6.75-3.97 Cert. = GIA Weight = 1.09 ct. Color = H Clarity = SI2 Cut = VG Polish = EX Symmetry = VG Fluorescence = Faint Blue Depth = 58.9% Table = 56% Crown Angle = 31.5 Pavillion Angle = 40.4 HCA Grade = 1.5 (BIC type) = (EX fire, scintillation, & spread; VG light return) Girdle = Medium to Slightly thick Cutlet = None I'm looking forward to all thoughts. Thanks! |

Yeah, that is not a great ring stone. Here's another possibility: http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/a-cut-above-h-a-cut-diamond-78269.htm

Is the main problem depth?? Is that the consensus? Are there other glaring issues?

You need a deeper pavilion with that shallow crown, in the 41s.
