Hi everyone, Like many of us, I'm a bit detail-oriented and I want to make sure the custom design process goes well. I made a ppt slideshow describing the wedding band I want custom designed. I will probably be going through WF. I will put each slide from the ppt below. I would really appreciate if you let me know if any of this is unclear or any other suggestions you might have. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for looking these over for me! Some of the details in the picture might be a little hard to see, but full size in ppt they are easier to see. Also, I'm not as concerned about the general appearance of the slides, but whether the instructions are specific and clear. Thanks again.

kcoursolle, I have nothing to share regarding your presentation specifics, just wanted to say WOW, how impressively detailed!

I would make sure to put that you want to approve the wax (since rings have apparently been cast without wax approval) and approve each of the 5 stones since they are fairly large and not what I would consider "melee".

Thanks Kimberly, I think I'm a little anal because my first custom design project was very negative (not what I wanted, got stuck paying for it), and ever since I wanted to make sure that the design specifics are very clear LOL. Since then, my other projects have gone very well luckily.

It's very good. The only thing I thought was that you need to narrow down your color and clarity a bit. There is no need to go to SI2 on stones that small, so I'd say VS2-SI1, and color G-H, for example.

Good point about approving the wax!! I wouldn't have caught that without you. My reason for calling them melee...is because if they have some ACA uncerted stones of that size I could probably save money, and I trust ACA melee to be well cut without a cert from WF. I will probably have to pay for certified stones since these stones are a bit large, but it's worth a try.

Stones with better color than I/H actually are a little bit more than I want to spend and honestly I can't tell the difference in color in stones this small. They have quite a few stones of this size that are I/VS2...and that would probably be a good sweet spot.

I'd be very surprised if they certify all stones that size. It would run the price up significantly if they did, so hopefully they hold onto stones that size just for this purpose. You just don't need certs on stones that size in a wedding band. I might in earrings so I could upgrade later, but not in a wedding band.

I think I VS2 would be fine. You probably can go with H if they are uncertified. What color is your e-ring diamond?

I know they don't sell stones alone without certs, but hopefully since they would be making the setting as well they might have some uncertified stones to save me some $.

The color of my e-ring is an F, but it's a radiant...so probably more like a G/H compared to rounds. Also, I'm wearing them on separate hands so I don't think it will be an issue. I would definitely step up the color to an H if I can save money without certs.

Okay, yeah, I'd aim for the H if at all possible. I think you'll be happier in the long run since your e-ring is F, even though you're wearing them on different hands.

I could always upgrade the stones as well, which would be a major advantage of getting I colored certed stones... I love their great upgrade policy. Arg...something to think about.
