Hi there, I have to make a decision on these round brilliants in the next couple of days and I'm hoping to get some advice and/or opinions.... I know its difficult without seeing the stones, but if anyone can give me some help or point out any glaringly obvious limitations to these stones that I may not have seen I'd be grateful. The gorgeous fiance and I have been looking for some time and the golden number seems to be 2ct....I'm willing to sacrifice 'mind clean' for 'eye clean'....and bigger is always definately better, but would love some help choosing between these two.... Round Brilliant 8.01 - 8.06 x 4.91 2.01ct F SI1 Depth 61.1% Table 59% Thin to very Thick , Faceted Girdle Culet - None Polish - Very Good Symmetry - Very Good Flourescence - None GIA Cert Round Brilliant 7.80 - 7.85 x 4.71 1.75ct G VS2 Depth 60.2% Table 60% Medium to Slightly thick , Faceted Girdle Culet - None Polish - Very Good Symmetry - Very Good Flourescence - None GIA Cert Thanks in Advance for any advice.... The sotne report # and ct wt entered here will give us more data. http://www.gia.edu/reportcheck/ Then run the info thru Cut Adviser here under the links at the bottonm of page or under top right resources. The very thick girdle is ok if the price relfects a good discount Garry Holloway FGAA DipDT |

The price is ok for Aussie B&M with with GST included, but the cut has been lowered from Excellent, past Very Good down to Good - and using GIA's http://www.facetware.gia.edu/ it should rate as Very Good - so something strange is happening. Is there a comment that "Brillianteering effected the Cut Gade" ??? or some such comment on the report? Garry Holloway FGAA DipDT |

No there is not any other comments like that..... The girdle is thin to very thick....could this be the reason?

There is a comment 'clouds are not shown'.... I've seen the stone and it's eye clean to me, but then I'm definately not an expert.... Is the girdle thickness a concern?
