Just glancing through diamonds, it seems that the following is much cheaper than diamonds with comparable specs from GOG and WF.  Am I missing something - it just seems so cheap for the specs.  For instance, this is about 2K cheaper than ACA that is .2 carats smaller with the same color and clarity.

ACAs and other hearts and arrows stone carry a hefty premium.

This stone is not hearts and arrows.

Thanks.  I thought that was the reason, but I just couldn't tell by looking that it wasn't h&a.  So are the expert selections not h&a as well.  This stuff is fascinating - so it looks like you can have great numbers, get a great HCA score, but not be H&A!

I looked at the AGS report and it could be an "old style" report.  Note: the date of the report is not shown.  It appears to have been covered up.

Wonder why?

This could be an old stone that wasn't purchased or maybe its was traded back in?

This stone COULD have the H&A affect to it, but you'd need to see the image.

ES stones may exhibit a very nice pattern.  However, if they met Brian the Cutter's stringent (boy are they ever) standards for H&As they would be ACAs.

Hmmm, when I look at the picture, those look like arrows to me. I'm guessing there are probably hearts when you turn that stone over. I recently bought 2 stones from James Allen. My current one missed being an excellent cut by the GIA by 0.1 degrees on the pavillion angle. It's still a great looking stone.

Poorboy, I think it's worth a look. It's possible that it is a consigned stone, and the person selling it may just want it to move quickly instead of sitting around. Just my opinion

I do not know about this stone but in general round brilliants which have very good symmetry will show arrows, but to show hearts there needs to be more facets in alignment so this is not as common unless in H&A branded diamonds.
