Hi all! I already have a thread in LIW with some photos of my ring, but I thought I may as well post some here too! Here are some pictures of fabulous (if I do say so myself) new engagemnet ring from it's original wax to my hand.

Here it is with the stone.

The stone is an EGL USA certified stone. I was skeptical about EGL, but one I saw this one in person, I knew it was the right one.

.9 carats
SI1 (totally eye clean! And it was hard for me to find the inclusions with a loupe)
G color (It looked the same as a GIA F to me, and def. better than A GIA H I compared it with, so I am thinking the color is pretty accurate on this one)
Excellent/Ideal Cut (and boy does it sparkle!)
Depth: 61.9%
Table: 56%
Crown Height: 15%
Pavilion Depth: 43%
Polish: VG
Symmetry: Excellent
Cutlet: None
Fluor: None

Another view (You can see where the pave is, and the surprise stones in the prongs)

Here it is from the side.

The band is WG with 3 sided pave 3/4 of the way around.
The head has 6 prongs with a little diamond set between each

The band TW= .4

So the Ring TW is 1.3

Verry pretty Fancy, congrats!

"It is also important for the State to inculcate in its subjects an aversion to any 'conspiracy theory of history' for a search for 'conspiracies' means a search for motives and an attribution of responsibility for historical misdeeds."

-Murray N. Rothbard, in The Anatomy of the State

John Swinton [1829-1901] Chief Editorial Writer of the New York Times (Considered "the Dean of his Profession" by his peers), when asked to toast an 'Independent Press' in a gathering at the National Press Club, circa 1880

"There is no such thing in America as an independent press unless it is in the country towns. You know it, and I know it. There is not one of you who dare express an honest opinion. If you express it you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid... for keeping my honest opinions out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for doing similar things....

The business of the New York journalist is to distort the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of Mammon, and sell his country and race for his daily bread, or for what is about the same thing, his salary. You know this, and I know it and what foolery to be toasting an 'independent press.' We are tools, and the vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are jumping-jacks. They pull the strings and we dance. Our time, our talents, our lives, our possibilities, all are the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes."

That's very pretty.  I'll bet it was really fun going through the process of having it made (if also a little nerve wracking)!  It turned out beautifully.

Thank you so much, everyone! I am very pleased with the way it turned out!

Lumpkin-- it was very FUN to go through the custom process. I pretty much told my fiance what I liked, and he finalized a design, and the company made it. We picked out the center stone, which was VERY exciting. We are going to have the wedding bad custom made to match it perfectly too!

jayrenay9- That setting is VERY similar. I bet it looks pretty too!
