That's what I've heard... not sure if it's true. But I do know about a specific line of jewelry that uses only silver and diamonds (can't remember the name right now, sorry) but the diamonds they use are always very small... about one point at the most from what I've seen. And they are always set into the metal itself, rather than anything with prongs because that is the safest way to set diamonds in silver. And that's the extent of my knowledge.
