I came to pricescope looking for money saving tips and it has been a few months.   I wanted ot return to inform Massachusetts Brides of a fabulous bridal shop in Attleboro near the Emerald Square Mall (incidentally it is practically next door to a David's Bridal)and is called Bridal and Gift.

It was actually the first shop I went to because they were the only one in the state that had a dress I wanted to try.  We went in the morning (no appointment needed) and they brought the dress to me.  I looked horrible in the dress but they brought me plenty more with my specifications and price range.  They were courteous, friendly, and attentive.  I must have tried every dress under $600 in that shop!   Truely they made me feel like a special guest and you'd never know there was anyone else in the shop.    I wasn't blown away by any one particular gown, though there was one that I really really liked except for one thing, that day so I decided to try other places.  Big mistake.  Workers at David's Bridal kept bringing me heavy beaded cupcake pouf frilly frou frou gowns...exactly opposite of what I wanted.   Other shops didn't have a selection or just didn't return calls for appointments.   I was in despair.

Later I wanted to try on some Paloma Blanca gowns as I like simple and elegant with just a dash of that "little something" and no one I called had any Palomas.  Except Bridal and Gift who said they didn't have the new things but had others similar to the style I wanted.   Since I had such a good experience the first time.   It wasn't a fluke or first time lust.  I went back and again I was treated like I was an honored guest.   I increased my price range a bit and they brought exactly the gowns with my specifications.   When I explained my despair in finding a gown with all the elements I was looking for (strapless, A line, side sweep, tiered bodice, laced back with a slight dip, and a bit of subtle sparkle), wouldn't you know they found one that had just arrived that day?   It looked a little bit "heavy: but my matron of honor (love her) told me to shut up and try it on.

It was gorgeousness.   I was concerned that it was a bit "too much dress" but the woman smiled and asked me specifically what I didn't like and then said "no problem we can fix that!"     She did a little shuffling with the fabric (I'm sure she had a little magic wand tucked away somewhere) and voila perfect.   For the full effect they brought me shoes, jewelry, and a hairpiece so I could see it all together.  I have never encountered the luxury of going to a shop where the people cater to you and treat you like you were their own daughter and it was their job to help you find the perfect gown no matter what.  If you aren't happy they will try find out what will make you happy.   It truly does feel like "home" when you walk in.

They not only have 30+ designers, but the place is packed with all sorts of bridal gowns, bridesmaids dresses, shoes, accessories, jewelry, and veils, in this three story white house that seems out of place surrounded by huge shopping plazas.   They had the most comfortable heeled shoes I've ever had on (and I HATE heels) and had the bridesmaids dresses that I wanted (they weren't sure if they did but they dug around until they found them).

It's truly a one stop shop.

Could you please stop posting this exact same thing on every wedding related web-site you find? I've seen this same post multiple times today. Also, I looked at bridal and gift, and had a horrific experience, FYI.

ETA: Sorry if I seem snarky, p-scope regulars! I just hate it when posters assume readers are so naive that they will fail to notice blatent self-promotion under the guise of a happy client.

Excuse you.

I posted here and at the knot.  That's two places.   I had a little connection trouble at the knot so if it appeared more than once it was accidental which is not an uncommon occurance and you can tell when that happens as posts appear back to back.

Don't make it sound like I've been spamming every wedding mailing list on the global network.  I've been on the net for more than a decade I know netiquette quite well thank you.

I had a fabulous experience and wanted to share it.   I didn't think it was a crime to share the information.  Talk about busting a happy brides bubble.

I had a nasty experience with David's Bridals and others have posted rave reviews.   And I think that's fine.  I don't put someone down or think of ulterior motives when I disagree with an experience.

And I AM a happy client!   I'm a little mad at the previous post though!  My wedding date is August 12, 2007.   I'm 33.  I'm a community college instructor.  Is that enough qualifying info for you?   Don't be so paranoid.

ETA:  I deleted the double post at theknot.  It was obvious that it was accidental from the time stamp if you'd cared to look.

My apologies to the regulars. I've said my peace.   I am an avid lurker not poster and I'll say no more on this subject as to not cause undue stress for anyone.
