Ok.. so I finally did it.. I registered.. and here I am. My fiance and I got engaged in July (the 26th to be exact) and I've been planning like crazy... I have found this board to be a tremendous help, even found NEW bridesmaid dresses after reading one of the many posts. So, in advance, let me thank you all... I have managed to get sidetracked at work sooo many times with this board... soo bad... but Tomorrow I am leaving to spend the weekend and plan the big day. I'm all finished up at work, and thought what a great way to spend my last hour... actually post something here. Here are some very fun details... first of all... We are getting married March 31, 2007 in Seaside, FL... such an amazing amazing place. I have a beautiful beautiful ring (1.056c Stuller Solstice solitaire, D color, SI I. in platinum-- yummy) I have my gown... Rivini Malibu.. fingertip ivory length veil with organza illusion edge... Carolina Amato tiara... Oh... my wedding ring will be the stuller solstice platinum band with 10-12 burnished diamonds set in the band!! We are getting married on the beach at sunset and then reception outside under the stars... beautiful. I know you guys LOVE pictures.. so I will do my best... please forgive any foul ups... I am WAY new to message boards... I think the last time I posted on a message board, I was 18... I'm 26 now... but getting married totally warrants dusting off the message board cobwebs... So here goes... I have 170 days till the BIG day... I'm so excited to get to share all this with you all!!!

OK... i will try my best... first is a picture of my ring... and I will try and see if I can also add my wedding band... fingers crossed Sorry this one is kind of blurry.. but I havent had a chance to take some real pics with the digital..

Welcome Jaders! Congratulations on your engagement! I love your dress. It's definitely classic but with a modern edge to it -- very elegant! I am planning my wedding in Mexico for next year, and we'll likely do a sunset ceremony (or near it) and then a nighttime reception outside. So I can't wait to see all of your choices and hear your ideas about planning. What are your bridesmaids wearing?

That ring is gorgeous! I was actually looking at this site a while back and was considering in getting a band similar to that but it has saphires in it! I think it's gorgeous! I love sapphires...

Thanks ladies... actually.. the ring designer website was kind of a fluke thing. I was reading this board one day.. bummed out because I couldnt find a ring that I liked.. and was afraid that i wouldnt be able to match my wedding band shape to the shape of the band on me e-ring. I saw someone on this site mention ringdesigner.. and OMG.. there it was... I almost fell out of my seat.. I called my jeweler and they can do it for me.. with BIGGER diamonds.. better quality.. and below my budget!!! wooooohoooo.. talk about luck!!! My dress... well.. I didnt want to take it off.. It was my second day of looking.. but my fourth store... I live out of the country and had to plan my weekend like crazy in order to fit them all in.. but I did... bought a sample (HUGE goal of mine) and now I am just waiting to have my first fitting (in december) It is the most comfortable dress that I tried on... but that bow in the front is not there on mine.. just a knot... which I like much better! I will make sure to give a full report of my planning day in Seaside.. but for anyone interested, please check out their website www.seasidefl.com to see my beautiful venue... THE ENTIRE TOWN.. hehe... we are also renting cottages there for the family and well.. ugghh.. I have to run to dinner... Welcome Jaders! I was a lurker not too long ago as well, and joined when I got engaged as well! I am happy to say this is a very friendly forum to share stories, events, loves, and just about anything else you can imagine... Congrats on your engagement and lots of fun planning your wedding! I'm a destination bride as well....we'll be celebrating on the other side of the Atlantic... Love you ring, very simple and elegant. There is something so classy about solitaires, I love mine. It's a 1.01 Radiant D, VS1, on the square side, set in a very simple semi-knife edge Plat setting by Scott Kay. Picked out wedding band too (even though wedding isn't til 9/1/07!), it's a Memoire eternity band, with 15 RB's spaced in groups of three...just a sweet little thing! Again, welcome and hope to see you on the Bride forum as well!
