since we're getting married in november and having an outdoor reception, i thought it'd be a good idea to have something to wear to keep me warm. i thought i'd get get a deep red pashmina to match my bouquet and color scheme. but, i'm open for other options. any ideas??? oh, and a reminder that in louisiana it's not usually freezing cold **crossing fingers!!**

I know you want red, which I think is really cool, but what about something like this? It might require less re-adjusting while you eat, drink, dance, hug and romance!

hmm... I bet you could cross it in the front and tie or pin it in the back, the ties look pretty long. I love that thing! If I had anywhere to wear it I'd already own one! ETA: here's a friend of mine with her red roses and red wrap (and red shoes, jewlery, nails...)

I love pashminas, but I don't thik I love them paired with wedding gowns, especially, such a gorgeous one such as yours!!! What if buy a nice red satin and trim in with a thin white piping, or white satin with thin red piping? I will look for a picture... or do one side red, one side white? I guess for me, a wedding dress deserves a more regal look. oh, and are you open to sleeves?

ooh, I would hate to see you cover all that detail with a fitted jacket.... If you do the reversible wrap, you can wear it so that the flaps are tied in the back showing both the red and white, which I think would be a nice touch.

i just thought a nice fitted jacket (think silk satin like dress) wouldn't overwhelm my petite frame like all that fabric of capes/pashmina's would. i think a fitted jacket would give me long clean lines. i think that's why i was drawn to the first post by mercoledi- it's fitted and if tied in the back, it'd give me some definition.

I like the one Mercoledi posted, but for this purpose, I would tie it in the back, so you don't hide the beautiful detail...or use a silver or red nice pin?

I think that matching the satin of your dress to a jacket will be hard; silver or red might be the way to go. This: comes in red satin. Here.

Hi jcrow! I saw this picture on the knot a while ago, and thought how elegant and classic she looked! When I saw this thread, I immediately thought back to it (and did some searching around to find it for you)! It sounds like it might be what you're looking for (picture courtesy of knottie hennema1):
