Ok. We have dog threads and cat threads. Since starting the thread of our new baby birds (our newest additions), I think it's time we give our birds the same attention as the other pets. I know several of you have beautiful birds....show them off.

Here's mine. Mom and Dad that started our "flock"

What cutie pie cockatiels!

I have always wanted a cockatoo, but they are very expensive and really require a lot of attention...they're like little children and need lots of your time, otherwise they get depressed.  And they outlive most humans!  But I've always wanted one, ever since I used to work in a pet store in high school and there was one for sale that I just adored.  Over the course of a year I got him to say I love you and would walk around with him on my shoulder and he'd just nuzzle in my neck.  The day they sold him I was so happy, but so so sad.  Someday maybe!

Cockatoos are beautiful birds. But they'd be too big for our small place.

Kaleigh, Beacon, Mine and anyone else.....let's see your birds.

Taj (on  right) is 8.5 years old and Wallis is about 1.5 years.  When I got Wallis they said he was a girl, but now his ring is growing in so he certainly is a boy.  Good thing I gave him a unisex name.
