I've searched all the threads having to do with asscher halos, but I don't really want a "vintage look". I would like diamonds in the halo but no engraving or millegrain. One setting I admired was from "lovemybigassch" where there seemed to be lots of diamonds in the halo; however only one view was shown. Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Since you've already been in contact with Estatediamondjewelry.com about this ring ... why couldn't you just ask them if they could halo a DIFFERENT stone. This is EXACTLY the setting you're talking about, right?????![]()

Date: 9/16/2006 3:48:15 PM That's exactly what I thought, but they claimed the halo was on this one when they got it.Author: decodelighted Since you've already been in contact with Estatediamondjewelry.com about this ring ... why couldn't you just ask them if they could halo a DIFFERENT stone. This one has a very modern profile. Also, I bet they could do it without the milgrain around the edge. http://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/settings-with-sidestones.asp?module=setting&cid=294&item=74

Date: 9/16/2006 5:18:21 PM Thanks, kcoursolle. That is a beauty! I noticed that it's shown with a 3c asscher. Would a 2c look too small in that split shank design?Author: kcoursolle This one has a very modern profile. Will James Allen set a diamond that he didn't sell?

I'm not sure if James allen will set a stone from somewhere else. However, it's definitely worth asking him and he is very easy to talk to. I think either the single shank or the split shank would look great with a 2 carat asscher.
