Tuesday FI, my Mom, and I went to look at our 3rd wedding venue. My Mom/Dad have been to a wedding at the location before a year or so back and bragged about it so much. So, FI and I went not really knowing what to expect....we surely didn't expect to fall in love with it more than venue #1 BUT we did!! So we are really hoping and wanting this place to be *the place.* The great thing about the venue is that it has a beautiful area for an outdoor wedding, but since we are looking at August 4, 2007 in Houston it will be WAY too hot! So we where thinking the nice outdoor area would be perfect for pictures etc!! The have 2 beautiful ballrooms. The set up with would have us getting married in one ballroom that is set-up w/ catherdral seating that has a beautiful glass window/wall. Then we could have GLORIOUS pictures in the outdoor/garden area that would be so very nice. Then the reception would be transferred over to another ballroom that is mostly glass all around and has a view of the beautiful large pond/lake with a fountain. We couldn't have the ceremony/reception in the same room bc our tables for the reception would have to already be set up, and FI and I aren't big fans of that non-traditional set up. We want the catherdral seating and aisle etc w/o the background table and chairs. So hence the two different rooms. Sorry I am rambling, but we have made another appointment for tomorrow afternoon to go back talk more seriously and put down the deposit to BOOK IT!!!   Trying not to get to excited just in case it doesn't happen, but it's just so exciting!! Wish us luck! ~~~~On August 4, 2007 I married my best friend~~~~ |

thx ladies!!! So...yesterday we went and BOOKED OUR WEDDING!!! We are both thrilled about it. They are holding our date for two weeks and in that time period we'll go back to work out the contract and put down our deposit. August 4, 2007 is officially our wedding date!!! YIPPEEE...sorry ya'll i'm just so excited about it all. All of "our dates" are August dates. 8/13/02 officially started dating 8/12/06 got ENGAGED!! 8/4/07 We're getting MARRIED!!! Ah...can't wait! Everyone that went with us yesterday really loved it (FI's Mom, my parents, my grandparents) which was a nice plus! Can't post pics now, I'm with J at his place...will try to later.... ~~~~On August 4, 2007 I married my best friend~~~~ |

Oh, congrats! My J and I found our reception venue too, just yesterday. We're not booking until April, but I know how exciting it is! Yay!
