Long holiday weekend coming up! Does anyone think this will be their proposal weekend? My bf and I have been talking about getting married, but he is looking for a new job and I really don't think he'll propose until our future plans can be seen a little more clearly. However, we are off to Florida for a romantic Labor Day weekend, so I can always hope. Good luck to everyone else on the LIW list.

There is always hope...however I doubt it's going to happen for me this weekend. We are off to New Hampshire....can't wait!

good for you ladies!!!! happy happy joy joy! I am 99.9999999% sure that it will not happen, since last weekend I finally asked for a timeline and I said please make it less than 2 years from now and he agreed (or less ).. so he has until August 26th 2008!

Even though he called my dad and asked for his blessing 3 weeks and 2 days ago (who's counting??) I still am not holding out any hope for this particular weekend. No signs or clues of any ring purchase, and he has also told me that he needed to have his finances in better order before getting married. Grrr.... so why did he call my dad and get me hyped up like this? Anyway, good luck to everyone else this weekend! I hope to read all kinds of engagement stories!!

Ladies, ladies, ladies.....even if you are 99.99999% that it WON'T happen this weekend, don't out anything past your man. My fiance completely surprised me with the proposal the night before our 4 year anniversary, so you never know!! Good luck to you all, and have a fun weekend regardless! I agree with Rose. I was 99.9% sure it wouldn't happen at the beach, but it did, so you never know  . I can't wait to hear some new proposal stories! I'm hoping for a big weekend like we had about 3 weekends ago. Sparkley vibes to everyone!

Ya know, I want to stay positive but it's hard. After 6 years I know how he is...he's bad at keeping secrets. Plus with it being football season (he works for the Raiders) I'm pretty sure that the last thing on his mind is proposing. But just for you Rose, I will keep a little positive engagement vibe up for this weekend.

He was hinting (and he wasn't subtle at all, as usual) at a proposal on/around our anniversary (tomorrow), and he actually was throwing me off and planning to propose in mid-July! He proposed on July 14th, and boy was I surprised!

I was so suprised that I thought I was going to be sick when he actually proposed! Trust me, even when you think it's not possible to be surprise it is!

You ladies are convincing me. He has been dropping not so subtle hints but he's a jokester so I haven't really believed any of it and flat out told him don't go getting my hopes up.

We had a wonderful romantic trip to St. Augustine. Saturday he told me he'll take me ring shopping as soon as he gets a new job! Yay! He's being laid off from his current job in March, and doesn't want to spend big $$ with the possibility of unemployment looming. I totally support his fiscal responsibility and will just enjoy the happy anticipation in the meantime! I know he will find a great new job soon.
