Does anyone know of any good sites to visit for halo settings on a budget? I have a .83ct round that i'm looking to place in it. I'd like to have platinum but i'm willing to look at white gold as well. I'm thinking about resetting my ering stone in the future and I know a lot of you have halo's. Thanks!

I really like Shay37's WF Halo setting. - Link to her ring thread
.76 carats so it'll give you some idea of how yours might look.
I think it's around $1800 in 14k, which while not inexpensive is far cheaper than platinum. I think settings like this require a lot of work, and have to be finely/precisely cast - so that the stones don't just fall out - which is why they can be expensive.

www.jamesallen.com has some in their designer ring section.  Again they are about 1800 which isn't cheap.

But some other folks have settings that are 3,000 or more so maybe 1800 would work for you.

www.pearlmansjewelers.com has alot of settings.  They put their prices on them too.  Which I find so helpful.  I'm on a budget too.

But hey when there's money budgeted for diamonds life isn't all bad!

I'd also check out the ritani's. They are really reasonably priced for well made designer settings..

If you get a "pre-made" setting it will be much cheaper IMO ... Carl Blackburn has some halo settings that allow under 1ct stones to sit prong set right on top of a halo. Don't know which online vendors carry him .. but Jessegirl has an asscher set into a cushion-shaped halo by him I think. I think round in the cushion shaped one would be VERY COOL!

Vatche now has halo settings as well. Their quality is great, too.

knoxjewelers.biz has quite a few reasonably priced halo settings in white gold.  I was very happy with the quality of my rhr from them and their service.

Mine was about $1200, 18k white gold, from a local jewler. Anthony Roberts in Rockland County, NY.
