I keep changing my mind on everything!!
A few months back I was going to have a setting made then decided that ring was not for me.
Then I was going to reset my diamonds.

Now, I finally asked my husband for a budget for my upgrade and it is $2500, for everything!!
I am ok with that budget.

I currently have a danity set that is semi eternity with a .30 center.
I would like something different with a bigger center stone, any suggestions??

It depends if you are going to trade in your current set, and what is available, what the policies are, etc.  You might be able to get a really pretty set and upgrade the diamond a little, but it might not be that great a deal.  It might be worthwhile to consider a very simple solitaire setting with a balance of the best/biggest diamond you can get.

Here is a beautiful .583 carat G VS2 ACA for $1909, with the Pricescope discount - which you must ask for.
It has an HCA score of 1.4.
http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/A-Cut-Above-H-A-cut-diamond-2371008.htm#

Whiteflash has a clean platinum 6-prong or 4-prong setting for $420.

1909 + 420 = 2329.
2500-2329=171.

That leaves $171 for a nice night out to celebrate.

I like putting more of the money into the diamond and I actually prefer the most simple settings.
An understated setting keeps the attenion on the stone.

I like the diamond Kenny pointed out.

My first diamond was about .33 points and I upgraded to .57 points.  It was a really big difference.  The original setting had 4 prongs and the second had 6.  I personally thought the diamond looked much bigger in the 6 prongs, which kind of surprised me.

Here is a larger stone:
.741 carat J SI2, $1993 with Pricescope discount.
The HCA score is 1.5.
And it still leaves $78 to celebrate.

Since it is SI2 I'd calll Whiteflash and have them pull the stone and tell you how eye-clean it is, and discuss your expectations with them.
Also you may not want to go with a J color, but many people are very happy with them and with this great cut you may not notice the J color face up.

One thing I have done when undecided between two stones is "buy" them both - compare them in my home, at work, in the sun, in a restaurant, in the car, for a week.
Keep one and return the other.

You are only out the cost of shipping, a small price to pay for such an ideal shopping experience.

The fact you like white gold is actually a plus, since it's cheaper! lol

I was browsing WF's expert selection, and this is what I found: 0.754 H SI2...looks really like a cherry picked stone!
http://www.whiteflash.com/round_ideal_cut/Round-Ideal-Cut-cut-diamond-2459657.htm

They actually have several 0.70-0,75caraters in the H/SI range...so if one is not eye-clean, there might always be one that is.

I prefer it also but have had trouble finding much... everything is so platinum lately!

I think that virtually any vendor can easily make (or get in) just about any ring design in YG... I wouldn't think that would be a problem!

And THAT'S my story and I'm sticking to it!
