So, when I went to visit J who has been one of my best friends for the last 8 years, I knew I was going to ask her to be my MOH, but I didn't know how.  She got engaged 6 days before me and I wanted to make sure that she didn't feel pressured to ask me just because I was asking her.

I ended up just blurting it out while we were watching TV and she told me that she had been planning on asking me to be hers the next day at lunch!  Yay!  We're both maids of honor!  Well, I'll technically be a matron of honor, but this is so exciting that we get to plan our weddings at the same time and perfect because hers is actually going to be about a year after mine so we won't be overly stressed out with the details of both at the same time.

First thing we did together as brides and maids of honor?  Dress shopping!  It was so much fun!  I LOVE getting married!

Isn't it fun to have friends planning weddings simultaneously? One of my bridesmaids (a friend from HS) is getting married 3 months after us, and I'm in her wedding as well. We actually got our dresses from the same shop and designer and are having the reception at the same place... so we're kind of wedding twins!! VERY different tastes, though, fortunately... so our weddings should be really different. She is a bit more into the princess-y thing, and I'm a bit more contemporary/traditional (<-- Gypsy's blend ).

Congrats on finding your MOH!!
