ChelseaL13 Rough Rock Total Posts: 25 Last Post: 3/27/2008 Member Since: 8/21/2006	Has anyone ever heard of the Diamond Institute of America grading scale? I am looking at a diamond online that is a 1.31, E, SI-1 for $3700. The only this that i am worried about is that the grading is from DIA. I am not familiar with them. Is anyone else? Chelsea

Someone who makes up a scale with similar acronyms to the commonly used GIA system but that stand for something different (for example: Very Special 2) is certain to have been done for reasons that are not in your best interest.
