hi dear PSers, I stopped into BB&B to look at some wedding bands the other day (sorry, didn't have my camera with me) and really liked this two row eternity band ring they had. It looks like two eternity bands connected together. I don't recall seeing anything like that on SP, WF or any of the usual eternity band vendor websites. I HAVE seen something similar on Pearlman's but it was by Michael B so it was SUPER $$$. Any ideas on where I can find something similar? I'd consider buying it from BB&B if necessary but I wanted to see what my options were first and you guys are so great with stuff like that. Thanks again! Diamondlove |

Date: 8/23/2006 8:56:28 PM I'd ask SP or WF for a quote, I'm sure they could make this for you. Worth calling at least. Good luck!!Author:diamondlove hi dear PSers, I stopped into BB&B to look at some wedding bands the other day (sorry, didn't have my camera with me) and really liked this two row eternity band ring they had. For an inexpensive alternative, a jeweler could solder together two facets brand eternity bands. You would get pretty much the same look and save a few bucks. This would also solve the problem of the bands rubbing together.

Hearts on Fire makes one that is just gorgeous, but needless to say very pricey.

Thanks everyone! I'll try to look at some more places and if I really don't find too many options I'll start getting custom quotes. For something like this I'd just prefer to see it in person unless I've seen a specific vendor's work for something similar. Feel free to throw in any more suggestions. Diamondlove

Date: 8/23/2006 9:48:08 PM Hey, good idea! The simplest way can really be the best sometimes.

I agree you want to see it in person before deciding for sure, but you could order 2, try them on, inspect them, make sure it works and then have them soldered locally! ETA: OOOH, also, if later on you changed your mind they could be unsoldered (for example if you wanted to wear your e-ring in between the two eternity bands)

If you order two eternity bands and like them, but still can't envision what they will look like soldered together, I bet someone here could work their photoshop magic. I have seen some amazingly life-like photoshop skills from folks here.

I have seen some amazingly life-like photoshop skills from folks here. It would look just like those above do...they'd put the soldering on the inside part just like they do when someone wants their e-ring and w-band soldered so they don't spin. DL, I agree that you have to try some on to be sure they are set low enough to go next to the e-ring. You could call SP and ask them which bands are set the lowest. Then as someone said, just order two and try them. SP is terrific about returns. I bought a band that I loved on their sale but had to return it because I realized it would be too thick (sit up too high) to go with my e-ring. The Tiffany band sits very low, but you could buy two SP bands for the price of a Tiffany. But it just depends on the setting as to whether it will work. Incidentally, are you still totally happy with the Lockes setting now that you have had it a few days and have inspected the workmanship closely? I am waiting for my diamond appraisal so I can insure the diamond before sending it to Lockes, so I still have time to change my mind!!!

hey there, Thanks everyone for your input. Yeah, I'd definitely consider soldering two eternity bands together but my primary concern is also the workmanship of the soldering. Some can look much better than others from what I've seen -- it'll bother me if I could've purchased a two row ring that was better in workmanship than me having two rings soldered together. I wish there were photos of some soldered eternity bands on here but I haven't found any (but then I haven't searched very very hard). Diamondlove

DS2006-- so you are going with the Lockes!! Yes, it is still gorgeous and the quality is great. I honestly still get constant compliments and now that my own engagement shock is wearing off I'm starting to get embarrassed at the attention the ring gets. In the beg. I was so giddy that I wasn't as modest I suppose. ![]() I can't wait to see photos of yours and Sunkists! It's just so classic yet unique that people get really surprised. They assume at first that it's the Tiffany's setting and then they comment on how unique the head is on the ring. DL p.s. Locke's sent me another photo of the ring with a band so I'll post it in my photo thread so come take a look.

DL, yes, I am planning to get the Lockes as soon a I can get the stone insured! I second guess myself at times about whether I should get a 3 stone since this is an anniversary ring, but on the other hand I just love a solitaire and diamond band more than anything else for that left hand ring finger! But the Lockes setting is just perfectly done, and I think it is just the finest of the solitaire settings.
