 		I want to buy a small (0.6-0.75 ct.), but clean (at least VS clarity & and about F-H color) and very well cut pear-shaped diamond over the internet. I found out that those diamonds with the length to width ratios outside of the preferred interval of 1.75-1.5 are prices somewhat lower than those whose l:w ratios are inside that interval. Does anybody have any idea if the fire, brilliance, and scintillation of a diamond are affected by the length to width ratio greatly, or just a little bit, or nor at all?
Also, many retailers do not grade the cuts of their diamonds such as perfect or ideal, premium, good, or average. Of course, they usually list the depth, table %s, the girdle thicknesses and culets for their diamonds, but even for the round diamonds one needs a crown and pavillion angles to do cut quality evaluation. Has anybody heard of any way to make the best guess about the diamond cut this using these limited data available using something like neural networks? Thanks in advance.

 		Hi Roman. You might want to check out this thread where somebody was asking similar questions about different L/W pearshapes. There are several images there of different L/W's along with excellent comments from several knowledgeable dealers.
