Hi everyone.  It hasn't been very sunny here, so I don't have any sparkle/fire shots yet, but I took some handpics of my new e-ring that my sweet fiance gave me on Sunday night when he proposed.  It sparkles like nothing I've ever seen, but unfortunately the pics aren't turning out great at this point.  It even has rainbows in it when there is no direct light!  I'll take some more pics when the sun comes out.

First, the specs on the center stone:

2.30 ct Old European Cut
8.47 x 8.49 x 5.06 mm
Color: I
Clarity: SI1
Depth: 59.7%
Table: 49%
Fluor: Faint Blue
Culet: Medium

The setting is a Michael Bondanza setting ordered through Pearlman's in plat with approx. 30 points of I color pave stones.

(Sorry the pics aren't better, but I promise more soon!)

Nope, it wasn't a family diamond (I wish!) :)

My fiance looked high and low for OECs using a local jeweler here in NC.  She found this one through a dealer in NYC.  He said he saw it and it took him about two seconds to buy it...he just knew it was perfect for me!  I think that's so sweet of him!

What a GORGEOUS stone!!! And that setting is so very pretty! Did Pearlman's set it for you or did you have it set where you got the stone?

Thanks!!!!  I LOVE it!  I can't believe how well he did!  He sent the stone to Pearlman who sent it to Bondanza who made the ring and set the stone and sent it back to Pearlman who sent it on to him...wow, that sounds complicated...haha!

Look at the spectral (right word?) colors in that sucker!!! It just glows.
Yum. Yum. Yum.
What a neat way to set an old stone too; I love the top down view.
Very cool. Love those old cuts.
Congratulations - wear it in good health!
Best wishes for you both.

Scintillating...

Oh* By the way, it looks geart on your hand. (And huge.)

OMG, that OEC is just spectacular.  What a gorgeous stone your fiancee found for you.  Love the setting too.    They are very hard to find these days.  He did a great job.  Congrats on your engagement.  More pics please!!!

FacetFire.

Wow, if that's how it looked with little or no light, I can't imagine how alive and sparkly it is with light.
I love OEC.  I don't know what it is, but there is something just so mesmerizing about the facting on OEC.
Very lovely.

*Swoon*

I am in love with that stone.  It is absolutely stunning!  And definitely doesn't look like an I...all those blue flashes...yummy.

The setting really shows it off, too.  Congrats on your engagement and gorgeous ring!

And a few more pictures wouldn't hurt!
