I believe what you're asking about is the Lazare Kaplan line of diamonds.  Use the search function and simply type in Lazare and you'll pull up loads of threads on them.

Good Luck.

Lazare Kaplan is an industry icon.  He was the cutter Harry Winston selected to cleave the Jonker, the inventor of the modern oval and a proponent of premium cut.  Incidentally, he learned the art of diamond cutting from his cousin...  Any consumers know who that was?

  Bravo.

Rod beat me to it.

18 years ago, when diamond shopping for my wife, I stumbled into these makes, and became aware of what I wanted with them.  I think they're lovely, suppose they're approximately as good as the fine makes otherwise also available in discussions heard on this board, and for a significant premium at that...but no less nice.

And I thought just for playing you were going to send me a single ACA .40 stud set in screw back platinum martini setting. Now, wasn't that your intention???  Of course it was sir John!!
