Could I wear a light gold wedding dress? One that I really love comes in white, ivory and light gold and I dont think the light gold looks too goldy--I have yet to try it on, but do you all think it would be an appropriate color to wear? The dress is Mori Lee's #2103 (http://www.morilee.com/DressDetail.aspx?C=1&D=2103&P=1)

Yes yes yes! I love light gold wedding dresses! Mine is technically ivory, but it's on the darker side as far as ivories go and has a lot of gold embroidery, and I just find that coloring so much richer and more romantic than a stark white. If you love it, I say go for it!!!

It's your big day (and your hubby's) you should wear whatever makes you feel like the most beautiful woman in the room, be it white, ivory, cream, candlelight, gold, rum pink, blue, green, red, orange, purple, indigo... you only get to do it once, so do what makes you happy!

Oh my gosh. THAT DRESS IS STUNNING!!! And.. I really like the light gold.. In fact.. I like light gold much better than IVORY.. (I hate ivory.. ) because you can actually tell that its not just a dingy white.. It definitely still an appropriate wedding dress color though! |

I think it looks great in goldy (love the word, btw)! I also think it really depends on your skin tone. Ivory usually doesn't look dingy white if it's on the right skin tone. I think on pink tinged people it may look dingy. But on an olive skin tone, it would look lovely. Sweetpea, what is your skin tone?

Sweetpea, what is your skin tone? I'm kind of pale, but olive if that makes sense haha. I tan really well though, so I anticipate tanning before the wedding (even though otherwise I avoid the sun) *~SP~* |

I'm pale and olive too! That being said, I love ivory and champagne colors on my skin. I recently tried on a "light gold" dress and it was gorgeous. Sitting next to the other white dresses, it looked darker, but by itself you could hardly tell it was light gold. I also tried on a stunning pale blue Romona Keveza gown and when I walked out into the daylight, I could barely tell it was blue. I think gowns with a hint of color are beautiful.

It looks like a candle light or champagne tone. If you love it and it looks good on your skin, why not? It is just as appropriate and probably richer looking than stark white. I have found few people who look really in stark white anyway! It is really pretty in the photos, but I am sure in real life you would have a better sense of the color.

wifey2be--I am totally about the candlelight haha--I'm going for dim lighting (like nice restaurant at night type) and candles on each table--I would love to sparkle all night long, how cool would that be??? I admit, I do like attention so that'd be fun, as long as it's not too all over out of control blindingly sparkly!
