Hi all, Many years ago, I had a white gold ring (14ct, I believe) made for an engagement that never happened. I don't have the specs with me (total weight, etc), but it is just the ring (no stones). Is there anywhere that buys gold at a decent price? I got the ring at an amazing price (basically just paid for the weight of the gold, no markup), so I am not looking at making money...just want to sell it for what it's worth. Any suggestions? Also, I am looking at purchasing a platinum setting for an e-ring...if, down the road, we decide to upgrade, is there anywhere one could sell a platinum solitaire ring? Thanks for the help! -David

I'd suggest purchasing the plat. ring from a vendor who has a trade-up policy. they will buy back the stone and she might want to keep the setting for sentimental reasons.
