HI: Had my 21 year old ER (RB) reappraised today, and there was observed to be a very small chip on the culet. News to me. Which begs the question, how on earth.........?? cheers--Sharon

What kind of setting do you have? Is the pavilion largely exposed? Did the stone ever fall out of the ring or did you get it reset at any point? Is it possible the chip has always been there and you just didn't know about it?
