My First Post!  So far, Pricescope has answered all my questions!  But I have ONE burning question

Can anyone recommend great vendors in the Bay Area/California?  It's so hard to pick a photographer, make-up artist, florist, DJ, videographer...and the list goes on and on...

I feel I can look at as many vendor portfolios, but it will never indicate how satisfied their customers were.

I would love any suggestions!  Thank you in advance!

we got married in hawaii though we live in SJ, but we brought our SF photographer with us, he's excellent and i highly recommend him and his partners. his name is Andy Berry at orange photography in SF. www.orangephotography.com ... i think you click on weddings on their website. andy came to hawaii with us and shot all the photos of our rehearsal and wedding, it was awesome, we LOVED him.... and they are pretty affordable compared to some of the other photographers around here.

don't have any other recommendations unfortunately, but if you go to one of the bridal shows at some point, many of the vendors are there so it's a great way to see things like florals and things in person and taste cakes etc to see who you'd like to contact to discuss details with further.

oh and when we WERE looking locally we contacted i think events of excellence for catering, an old coworker's family owns it and i recall their pricing being quite good but this was 2 years ago. anyway i'd see if they are still around and maybe check into them for some reviews/tastings etc. good luck!

www.theknot.com has all sorts of vendor listings in different regions around the US that you can sort by price, specialties, etc. I'm using them to find a florist and photographer right now, since you can find them and request information via email. Hope this helps!
