P.S. Now you can see the result of everything I handmade and put together for the wedding. I wouldn't have been able to do it without our families to follow my directions so perfectly!

I saw it last week and told David it was "so pretty and it's YOUR birthstone and it's in my size" He laughed and told me to get it. It came Monday. It's a blue zircon. Working my way up to my 1.5 asscher with aqua and blue zircon sidestone ering.  Thanks for asking.

Jen: Your pics are GORGEOUS! You look so happy and radiant. They really came out great, but I especially like the detail shots of all your elements. You really put a lot of time into making everything come together, and it did- BEAUTIFULLY! Great location for the bridal pics, with the columns and the iron gate. THANKS for sharing! CG

Wow MelissaSue, thanks for the compliment!! I lost about 10 pounds right before the wedding (like the week before!!) and I was so happy because I could actually sit in my qipao for the first time ever! It's funny too because we were looking at the pictures last night and I told my husband that I would like for the photographer to crop out from the waist down in those pictures of me getting ready. I thought I looked SO chunky. I've managed to keep the weight off so far, but I've been doing a lot of moving the past few weeks and I guess that helps. If I lose about 10 more pounds, I'll be REALLY happy. I think the red turned out pretty nice too. My hubby hates red and he even said that it was a nice balance of red with the other accent colors. I'm especially proud of the jewelry I made for the bridesmaids, I think they turned out so adorable. They loved them too!! ChargerGrrl~ The bridal pics were actually done in random places in downtown Mobile, AL. We wanted to get pictures done at Bellingrath Gardens there, but they had the nerve to try and charge us a 200 dollar sitting fee because I wasn't getting married there!! We told them where they can put their sitting fee and we split. We just ended up driving to the different public parks and even had some pictures in the commerce building! I got stared at a lot and some strangers were even taking pictures because it's not everyday you see a fully dressed bride walking the streets in downtown Mobile. :) It was a lot of fun. Thanks for all your other compliments!

Wow, Jen, everything looks AMAZING!!!!! And you look sooo beautiful!!! I love everything about it, just like I knew I would!  (And that's so much fun about walking around in downtown Mobile! I'm actually kind of sad I'm getting married at our family house and having the reception there and staying there...because it means not a single person who isn't invited to the wedding will randomly see me walking around all dressed up!)

The brooch in my bouquet is an antique that my mom brought. Up until the day before the wedding, I didn't have a single "something old"! So my mom brought a few things and my aunt did as well. I ended up with: a bracelet that every woman on my dad's side of the family has worn to their wedding, my deceased grandmother's baby bracelet (which you can see in the photos) and this brooch (my mom brought another one, but I liked this one the best). I could've just used the bracelets, but I thought the brooch was SO PRETTY I had to work it in somewhere. So, somehow I thought of pinning it to the front of my bouquet! It didn't stay in the front very well, but it stayed there long enough to make it throught most of the wedding and photos, so I was happy with it. And the cake was SO YUMMY!!! It was buttercream cake with strawberry filling and fudge icing. It tasted just like chocolate covered strawberries!!
