I am in the process of buying rough diamonds. The seller will provide all the information about quality, certificates etc... But before buying I would like to appraise their value quality from an independent source etc... Is there any company, consultant I can talk to? I live in UK. Thanks Mich

Welcome to the Forum Mich, An appraiser is not going to be able to help you here. What you need is a person with highly specialized skills. That person would need to be either a cutter with buying skills or a professional experienced diamond buyer. You are not going to find who you need in some jewelry store. This person is probably already successful and IF he will help you he WILL NO be cheap. I do not recommend that you go there unless you like spending money with little return. dimonbob, GG |

RHMINIS; How about publishing a list of independent jewelry appraisers in London or the UK. I have been asked many times for such advisors and don't have anyone to suggest. Who are the independent valuers in your region? Thanks. David S. Atlas |
