Hi,

Can a Star Sapphire have two Stars?  I think I read about this somewhere on the net, but I can't find the article anywhere.

Is this more common in natural or synthetic stones?

Has anyone ever heard of a Bullet Star Sapphire?  If so, what exactly is it?

Any photos or examples of the above would be greatly appreciated.

Thank-you for your time

Here's an example of a natural stone.  The double star (asterism) is caused by rutile and hematite needle-like crystal alignment offset by about 30deg.

Yes, a star sapphire may have two star.
I have seen it quite regularly in opaque star rubies from Mysore, India, and from Vietnam, but you may also find it in fine star sapphire or rubies. I have one in inventory for instance that is fine violet with two stars but the two centers are quite near each to other like it is almost always.

I haven't heard of such synthetic star sapphires but it would exist if there were some demand, I guess...

A bullet star sapphire could be a ref. to the shape of the cabochon...in this case a stone with a very high dome.
