I'm checking to see how much the setting I want will cost me, but - I think these two diamonds are in the range of what I can afford. I may need to take it down a couple hundred bucks... but, for now, I'm planning on around $3500 the diamond itself. Which of these two would you choose? They seem very similar to me... both H&A ACA from WF. Please critique them for me - or let me know if you have other choices that may look as nice as the ACA... Choice #1: http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/A-Cut-Above-H-A-cut-diamond-2410915.htm Choice #2: http://www.whiteflash.com/diamonds/diamond_Details.aspx?itemcode=AGS-7340408# From the specs and pictures and stuff, they look very similar to me... the inclusions seem smaller in the second? What are the other differences? Thanks! Kristy |

i like the .81 a little better...i like the table and depth combo better than the .82 as well as the idealscope better on .81. but honestly they ARE very similar. because the .81 has great specs and a great IS and is a little cheaper, i'd be tempted to go that route. but both are probably going to be stunning in person.. actually out of the ones i posted for you the other night, i thought that the .81 was my fave probably for what your budget is, and what color/clarity you wanted to stick with, and size. it's got 'everything' IMO. good luck! ________________________________ |

wow, 2 good choices there. You are choosing among twins (same date of the AGS report too). But here's my try 1) The first stone has a slightly larger diameter (0.01 mm, you can't see notice it though) and costs slightly less. 2) I'm not sure you can say the inclusion is smaller just from the plot. They are both VS2 and I think you'll have a hard time finding them with a loupe. It looks to me like the inclusions in #2 might be clouds? I agree with you, very similar. Maybe someone at Whiteflash can look at them for you side by side? The ACAs are their signature diamonds, very high quality. I own one myself. If you need to take your price down you might consider their Expert Selection diamonds. I think they will look just as nice. For example, here's one that's similar to your two choices but is a VVS2, yet the inclusion on the plot might lead you to believe that they are bigger than Stone#2's inclusions. http://www.whiteflash.com/round_ideal_cut/Round-Ideal-Cut-cut-diamond-2417476.htm# Ask them to do a visual comparison of these 3 for you. Good luck!
