Ah, I'm glad for both of them that he was able to find it. He better go buy her a nice jewelry box to keep it in! He's lucky he realized it so quickly... had it been dumped and covered I doubt they would have found it. When I was in high school I interned at the Water Utility and took some tours of the sewage treatment plants. The guys that worked "the screen" had many stories about people calling up after flushing their diamond rings. They could usually find them, but I bet they needed a few dozen trips through the Ultrasonic before the women were willing to put them back on!
