This is a picture of the stone that I'm thinking of purchasing.

Apparently the inclusions on the right and left side of the stone aren't eye visible, and the picture is taken at 10x zoom. It's supposed to be an SI2-SI3 clarity / I/J color stone. Any thoughts/opinions/suggestions? Thanks.

Aside from the cut what else is bad about it?

I thought for $3,800 it's not so bad...

Well, cut is the most important thing about a diamond so if the cut is bad, then you don't have much.

It looks cloudy, dull, and completely lifeless. Please do not waste $3800 on this.

I'm no expert here --- but, it looks kind of cloudy or milky.

The stuff I've been looking at around .83 carats is around the same price... and it's well cut but not in the top range of clarity or color....

Oh my goodness... are you certain it is actually a diamond?? Wow... this is like a visible example of all that is good about doing your homework on Pricescope before making purchases! I'm shocked at how cloudy and dark the stone appears... that is really all due to poor cut? Crazy....

~~I agree with everyone here, it looks pretty dull and lifeless. I would not advise you to spend $1 on that diamond...

Yeah it's bad.  And you can do soooo much better.  If you're going for size, this misses the mark terribly.  Does it look nice to you??  All I see is a cloudy, heavily included stone.  Can we start over??  What is your budget, sacrifice size and get a gorgeous well CUT stone that will knock her socks off.  Or you can buy this, but I wouldn't spend a buck for it.  Seriously.

why would someone sell it for $3800 if they could get ... oh what it'd really be worth if it was priced at what a well-cut 2.17 I/J SI stone would be?

Do not Pass Go, Do not Collect $200. this stone scares me. it looks like a cloudy milky gray blue in that picture. it doesn't even look real.

if it looks too good to be true, it typically is.

I'm far from an expert But when I've seen pics of diamonds and rings, I'm sure they always pick the best ones. If that pic is the "best".....what do you think it would look like in person? I'd pass.

I would pass if I were you.
Stick to a smaller brilliant FIREY diamond or get a big sapphire or gemstone if it is size you want.

With respect - this I quoted from a previous post of yours....why would you need advice from us on that diamond?  You are obviously already familiar with lower quality diamonds.  Advertising isn't allowed here.

What is your problem? I'm asking people's opinions because they are more knowedgeable than me. If you don't want to help me that's fine but don't make my thread go off topic. I came here asking for people's opinions and never gave anyone any attitude or any reason to insult me.
