Oh my what a fun project!!! I love simple diamond solitaire necklaces...with a 1c stone that would just be divine. Here are two GOG stones I would consider: http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/2137/ http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/2131/ .90 H SI1 and .91 G SI2 H&A for ~$4500 each There are also these two which I like as well even though they aren't from GOG: http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/a-cut-above-h-a-cut-diamond-2415703.htm 1.02 F SI2 H&A for $5650 http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/a-cut-above-h-a-cut-diamond-2415703.htm 1.08 H SI2 H&A for $5450 I'd put any of those stones in a simple 4 or 3 prong platinum setting for about $300-400 and call it a day. Of course since I want the biggest stone possible I'd drop to SI2 and get as big a stone possible for the $5k (or maybe a little over? hehee). No I or J stones came up in my PS search unfortunately, but maybe new ones are coming in soon? HAVE FUN! ________________________________ |

Speaking of J/SI2s, here's another from GOG at 1.29 carats and in your budge. Nice! Hope I do the link right. (I'm not so great at this kinda stuff...) http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond.php?d=531&shape=1&clarity=128&color=64&agsCutGrd=3&giaCutGrd=1&inHouse=3&resultsColumns=268451855&singleResult=1 Kathy |
