I was given a really old beautiful setting by my mother ( which I dio intend to use at some point), but I bought a garnet thinking it would be the perfect size and when I brought it to the jeweler he said it would be about $180 to set because some small alterations would have to be made with prongs or something. So you never know how much it's going to cost to set
