I know that I said I'd like to do something custom for my new e-ring setting. I'm kind of stumped though. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Here's what I'll have to work with so far. 2mm wg comfort fit band, my original wedding band that has 10 small stones, I think the whole thing totals a 1/4 carat. I would like to use the stones from that and also of course my e-ring diamond that is.33 in size. I'd like to use a low set 6 prong Stuller Solstice peg head but I'm open. You all seem to be so creative so I just figured I'd ask for suggestions. Hopefully, I'll get lucky and Storm will read this, he seems to be the resident "expert" on this rock stuff LOl I mean that in a good way.

Hi, Sounds like a fun project. Are you looking to combine all the diamonds into one ring or keep them 2 seperate rings? Looking to add more diamonds or gemstones? What kind of rings do you like? Do you have a picture of your current rings? Btw Im just a consumer who tries to help people out, not one of the experts who work in the trade. But thank you for the huge compliment :} ........... Best thing to do is check out a bunch of settings both images and in person if you can, and build your custom idea from other ring elements you like. Show me the Ring is a great place to start as there are tons of settings there...it's really all about your taste. Good luck! ________________________________ |

There is a picture of my current e-ring somewhere around here. I'm not sure how to post links to threads, but it should be My New Updated E-ring and I put a pic under the Under 1ct diamonds thread. The 2mm band I should have back next week. I went ahead and decided to have my wide band shaved down, wanted to stick with that for sentimental reasons, anyway, instead of shaving it down he's actually going to cut the ring in half, make them each 2mm and then re-comfort fit them for me. I would like to somehow incorporate the small diamonds into the e-ring but it doesn't have to be all of them. I do like things like the Scott Kay Crown setting, how it has a diamond on the side and an aquaintance has a cathedral sapphire in a tension set ? anyways, underneath where the sapphire sits, on the band itself there are diamonds and sapphires. I believe there is someone with a pic of something like that very similiar in their avatar but I'm not sure who it is. My big thing I guess is is it silly to do a custom set for a diamond that small.

custom doesnt have to equal expensive and no its not silly. hmmmm let me me think on it and ill see if I can think up something. ........... Karl has joined the diamond trade and is now posting as Karl_K |

Thanks storm....I'm still trying to dig up that picture of the sapphire on the ofrums, still no luck.
