Hi all, This is my first ever post but I've been reading these boards for a while. You guys saved me from getting an overpriced mediocre cut diamond from Blue Nile. Thanks! I'm currently shopping for a diamond and there is one from Good Old Gold that really caught my eye. The specs on the diamond are: Est. Weight: 0.794 ct. Clarity: VS2 Color: F Polish: GIA - Excellent Symmetry: GIA - Excellent Diameter (mm): 5.99 (5.97 - 6.01) <0.6%> Total depth: 60.9% Crown angle: 34.1' Crown height: 15.0% Pavil angle: 40.8' Pavil depth: 42.6% Culet: 0.3% Table size 56.4% Girdle thickness 1.6% (Medium) The diamond also scores very high marks on the brilliance scope, and the HCA gives it a 0.8 (TIC). The only thing that concerns me a little is a picture of the hearts and arrows pattern: ![]() ![]() The arrows look good IMHO but the hearts appear to have some sort of blemishes in them. I've never seen this before and I'm wondering if what I'm seeing is actually part of the diamond or if its just being view improperly. Is this something to be concerned about? Other than that, what does everyone think of this diamond overall? I look forward to hearing your answers. Thanks! Hazeghi

Hazeghi, welcome to the forum! I might be wrong but these blemishes might be just reflections of inclusions. Pricescope |

Hazeghi, Leonid is correct. It's just reflections of the inclusions. The hearts are very good. Brian Gavin |

That looks like a lot of inclusions on a VS2 stone. What am I missing?

Thanks for the input! I'll show you the magnified picture of the diamond: ![]() There is a pretty ugly cloud right in the center of the diamond but I think that's about it. I wonder if it is being reflected multiple times...? On the Good Old Gold website they claim that this diamond is "100% eye clean" so I'm guessing its okay. I've heard that clouds are pretty much masked by the light return anyway. But I could be way off base. Hazeghi

PoopEater:---------------- It might be multiple reflection of only one inclusion. Pricescope |

I think the pavilion view is just showing a reflected inclusion(s). Regards, |
