Hi. Does anyone have experience with Gumuchian Fils settings? They have been mentioned here in past posts just a handful of times. I have found a setting which I adore, Gumuchian Fils 27J1, on Pearlman's website and am very close to ordering it.
Thanks!
Tiffany

Well this is timely.  I just recieved an eternity band that I ordered for Nanny to replace the one that was stolen.  I got it through Bill Pearlman.  It is amazing.  The quality of the diamonds is awesome, the setting is beyond beautiful.  I highly respect the work of Gumuchian Fils.  They only turn out the best of the best, IMHO.  Can't go wrong with this designer and Bill Pearlman is a joy to work with, HTH.

Well, at this point the only thing stopping me is that it's Sunday. I found Pearlman's thru PS, and instantly fell in love with the setting. However, I had found a few in the past that I really liked and then ended up changing my mind (which is driving my boyfriend crazy). So, I decided to give it a while to make sure I didn't change my mind again. So, I hope to get it ordered this week!

You may even want to give Bill a call to see if he has a sample of the setting you want.  If he does, he may even send it out for you to review!  I remember when i was seriously considering a Michael B setting that he offered to do this.  Good luck!

According to Eric at Pearlman's the band is ~2.2 mm. I plan on getting a cushion cut diamond.

I don't have a stone. I plan to call Bill this week regarding ordering the setting and looking for a stone. I have heard good things about him here.

You won't be disappointed. I have worked with him on several projects and am in the process of working with him on my upgrade hopefully for later this year. I will be getting both my stone and setting through him too.

My engagement ring is the Gumuchian Fils Eiffel Tower setting, set with a 4.8 carat Asscher.  I purchased the setting through Bill Pearlman, of Pearlman's jewelers (www.pearlmansjewelers.com), whom I HIGHLY recommend as the warmest, kindest, most knowledgable and honest jeweler I've ever met.  I've had the ring for approximately 1.5 years (since Memorial Day 2005, when Tim proposed on our boat--see attached pic), and I get compliments on it every week, even from our local--and usually jaded--Manhattanites.  It's an extremely beautiful setting to which photos cannot do full justice.  Even jewelers in the Diamond District ask me where it came from.  Because we live in NYC, I was fortunate enough to meet Pat Gumuchian in person, who is as elegant, graceful and beautiful as the jewelry she designs.

Jena,

what a beautiful ring. Please start a thread in Show Me the Ring and can you give us some more pictures?

What mrssalvo said!!!  Your ring is just stunning!

I'd love to see about a zillion more pictures...we don't see too many Gumuchian settings around here,  and would love to see more details.  And of course your big asscher is incredible!!

I notice this is your first post...I hope it's not your last!
