I have been looking and looking for nice EC stones. I am comparison shopping and trying to learn what it is I really want. I have looked at stones from every where, including White Flash - very nice selections and extremely helpful staff. I found this diamond on Adiamor today. They seem to have a huge inventory and very good prices. Emerald Cut 2.17 carats G color VS2 clarity Depth 62.8% Table 65% Girdle: Slightly thick no cutlet Very Good Polish Very Good Symetry No Fluorescence 9.17x6.47x4.06 L/W 1.42 $18,014 What do you think? If you had a budget to stick to would you consider going down in color range to an H to get more size. Why or Why not? Life.....is just a bowl of cherries.... |

Hello and welcome- I am an EC lover myself, and honestly I would buy the best EC you could afford (spec wise). Keep in mind that step cuts show their color and their inclusions very easily, so if you are color sensitive, I do not recommend going below a G. When we were looking for my EC, I found myself noticing color in every stone graded below an G. I did want as much size as possible, but I also wanted a great looking stone...have you seen this diamond in person yet?

Have you seen the stone? ECs are difficult to judge on numbers alone. If you've seen the stone, how did it look to you? The steps? In different lighting? If you haven't seen it, what's the possibility that you can get to see it before making a decisions. The numbers aren't bad, but you really need to see an EC....
