A HUGE thank you to everyone who responded to my "Do You Hate It Thread!!!!"  Thank goodness for this board! Well, my other dress was "OK," but I wasn't happy. I went to try on other dresses at the urging of my sister, and I found the dress I LOVE  This picture doesn't do it justice, but it is an idea. In the rush to get to the store, I forgot my camera. I'll bring it with me next time so I can post photos. This one has no beading, and has clean lines. I was able to modify it a bit. I moved the straps up off of the shoulders, but they still keep a deep scoop neck which is more flattering to my chest. The off the shoulder straps were not flattering on my arms, and I couldn't raise my them. This dress also builds me up in the chest area where I am lacking ;) . It had a french bustle already built in which I wasn't fond of. They are taking the bustle out. I am so in love now! It has lacing up the back which is interesting, but not to fussy. Thank you again to everyone who gave me their input. Now I just have to get the other dress listed on Ebay ;)

You did great! I think the dress is so gorgeous, and you can really play up with an updo, and great earrings...it will look so elegant. Try Ebay, or maybe even advertise it on the web somewhere else, like Craig's list (I think you can put things to sell on it)...I can think of lots of options for your dress...but what matters is you found one you love! Yeah!

Thank you Diamondfan!! You are a doll. I'm excited to find jewelry and a veil now. Before, I didn't feel like I could do much else with all of the beading of the old dress. I thought about craigs list too! I'll have to do some bridal consignment brainstorming soon for the first dress.

You're welcome. I can see that dress with you having a beautiful updo with one of those "tiara" type things in it, at the crown of your head. (sort of the hair pulled off your face, smoothed back, the tiara in place and the up do behind it.) Very princessy, since that dress has that sort of princess feel to it, in my opinion...congrats and I am glad you continued your search!

The updo is a fantastic idea! I also did want to have either a tiara or a sparkley comb of some kind. I'm glad you can picture the same thing! I do want to feel like a princess on my big day! You are such a sweetie! Thanks for the support

I forgot to ask if you have longer hair for the updo! I can totally see that look, I am trying to think of who I have seen (famous person) who had that look...very elegant and regal. I don't think you will regret having gotten this dress, even if you spent a bit more...hopefully you can sell the other and get some money back!

Yes, I do have longer hair, so an updo will work! You are right, I'm not regretting spending the money. I do feel a bit guilty, but I am sooooo much happier now. It just seems like everything is going to be ok.... it's amazing how much differently I feel now that I have a dress I love. It is kind of weird ;) hee hee

I was crossing my fingers you would find something and feel okay about getting it. Nothing worse than feeling icky on your day and looking back at your photos and regretting that you wore a dress you did not feel good in...

Thank you ladies! I didn't end up getting it at a sample sale, but the process this time was so fun, the service was great, and I found "the one" very quickly. I'm sooooo glad I found the one I love. Jcrow... thanks for the link! I'm going to check it out. You all are the best!!

I loooooove your new dress, so much more classic, and I second the www.preownedweddingdresses.com suggestion! I check that site out all the time! There's also an ebay vendor that sells wedding dresses for you, www.your-dream-dress.com i believe good luck, and congrats!
