Our anniversary is in one week and I'm starting to get REALLY excited now. I feel like this whole process has had so many false starts and set backs that I am just shocked it's finally so close. But I'm still kinda holding my breath that nothing else goes wrong. I did find out he's been telling his proposal plan to people in his office and they all approve so hopefully it will be good!  Almost 7 years down. 3 years of talking about rings. 2 EXPENSIVE car accidents that wiped our ring budget. 3 ring recasts because Tacori sucks. And now almost 14 weeks of my ring sitting on the shelf. ONLY 1 MORE WEEK TO GO!! Ok. Just had to vent before my boyfriend gets home from work so that I don't pounce on him and start asking questions

Yours is one of the stories I'm most looking forward to (I'm excited for EVERYONE, just to be clear!) b/c you know he has something super-special planned. Ya know, the ring sitting on the shelf hasn't even been the worst part of the wait. I know exactly what the ring looks like. I picked everything out and even wore the diamond around for 8 months. But this "present" he's working on, I can't for the life of me figure out what he's making. Last night he tore though the house rounding up every kind of glue we had  And who would have thought I had so many glues.I'm way too busy to be thinking about this though. I still dont have a present for B yet for our anniversary, I'm poor and can't think of anything good!  I've used up all my good ideas over the last 7 years, I'm tapped!Anchor, who knew buying a piece of carbon could be this much trouble. And I'm already having fits over what to use for a wedding ring  I think this diamond buying thing is just a form of sadomasochism. Jen, you can bet that as soon as I have some news (and pictures ) to share I'll be here posting. Its been so cloudy here lately though, it better clear up so I can get some good pictures! We need another couple hundred pictures to compliment the 300 pictures I have on the stone in its temp setting  Thanks everyone for sharing my excitement with me! Most of my friends just think I'm crazy (which could be true  ) Until Tuesday I'll just keep myself busy by loading as many rings as I can on my right hand (in the privacy of my own home of course, don't want the "normals" to see this side of me) and hope the sparkle from those will tide me over a few more days.

'Bout time, I say!So whatever he's making now involves fabric and grommets as well as hemp cord, in adition to the paint, transparent paper and mat board I already knew he was using I just have no idea. He keeps asking me if I know what he's making yet, as if he expects me to have figured it out from the little info I have. At least I don't have to wait too much longer. Woohoo!

Some kind of portrait/painting that he will "unveil"(hence the fabric)?? I have really no GOOD idea, just grasping at straws here --- but whatever it is, it will be wonderful I am sure! jen

He could be making a collage of all the pictures that you have had together, like a walk down memory lane or something. You should make a scrap book for him. With little pages of memories and stories that you have had. That would be great. You can save it for the grandkids in the future.............

TOMORROWS THE DAY!!!! And I still haven't finished his present yet! Yikes, I suck. I still don't know what he's making. He was all pouty the other day because he thought I had figured it out and was just pretending not to know to humour him. My stomach's been doing flips all day. I've got the camera charging and now I have to go plan what to wear tomorrow

Hello ladies! I'm back and I'm engaged! Sorry its taken me so long to come post, but yesterday was rather hectic. Someone left the backyard gate open yesterday and our puppy got out  , finally got the puppy back and then all hell breaks loose when B's ex-girlfriend hears we're engaged and kinda freaks out on us. Not pretty  Anyhow, I'm sizing some pictures now.
